New Patients

What to expect at Peak Body Performance.

New here? Welcome. Here's exactly how your first appointment will go — no surprises, no jargon.

  1. We talk about your goals.

Your first visit starts with a conversation and a health history. Why are you here? What does "better" look like for you? Whether your focus is rehab, performance, or maintenance, your goals set the direction for everything that follows.

  2. We assess.

Your practitioner will assess the areas relevant to your goals and explain the findings in plain language. You'll understand what we found and why it matters before any treatment begins.

  3. We build the plan — together.

We'll discuss recommended techniques, expected responses, treatment length and frequency, and agree on a course of action. Nothing happens without your informed consent, and open communication continues throughout treatment — including pressure levels and preferences.

  4. You leave with homework.

Most patients go home with a few self-care or strengthening exercises tailored to the assessment. This collaborative approach is the fastest route to lasting results. Forget an exercise? It happens all the time — many of our prescribed exercises are demonstrated on our YouTube channel, and we're always an email away.

Before you arrive

  • Please arrive 10–15 minutes early for your first appointment to complete intake paperwork, or complete it online in advance through our booking system.
  • What to wear: whatever is comfortable. For low back or lower-body concerns, shorts are recommended (not mandatory). During massage treatment, dress down only to your own comfort level — you will always be professionally draped.
  • Bring your extended health benefits card if you'd like us to provide receipts for your insurer. (Direct billing is coming soon.)

FAQ

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No referral is needed to book massage therapy or naturopathic medicine. However, some insurance plans require one for reimbursement — check your policy.

Is treatment covered by insurance?

Massage therapy (RMT) and naturopathic medicine (ND) are included in most extended health benefit plans. Direct billing to major insurers is coming soon.

What if massage (or naturopathic care) isn't the right fit for me?

We'll tell you. If your assessment suggests another form of care would serve you better, we'll refer you — to another practitioner within the clinic where possible, or to a trusted provider in the community.

Can you treat kids and older adults?

Yes. Peak Body Performance is built for individuals and families of all ages. Treatment plans are always adapted to the patient.

How do I book?
